Prevent Duplicate Entry in MVC asp.net

Hi Friends,

I am learing stage of Asp.net MVC 2 Framework.

I am adding records in Database, and using Entity Frameworks.

How to prevent "Duplicate entry"?

When User Enter already exiting field, then it should give vaildation message that, the record is already Exist and unable to entry duplicate record.

Please Help Me.
