Possibility for hosting application in IIS for different .NET framework

HI,

Suppose i have created normal asp.net web application say it was developed in 3.5 .net framework and then i have created MVC 5 application with in the same solution say with .Net framework 4.5.2.

Now i want to host this application in IIS7 with in the same domain. Is this possible?
can i run both the asp.net & MVC applications from same domain? Please help

What I have tried:

It looks like in Visual Studio it works fine. but i couldn't test it properly.

Solution 1

Yes, the newer versions of .Net framework still support the older versions. Just install IIS and try it out. Won't likely have any problems.

Or, upgrade your other project to be sure.
