How to save or download excel file on server location in ASP.NET

I want to download excel file to specific server location while click on ExportToExcel button.As when user click on export to excel button for now excel gets download on local download folder instead of this i want to download that excel on server location.

What I have tried:

I had tried using wcf service but any other option please let me know

Are using any 3rd party generating excel file? it might have some Save or SaveAs function which might have one of the parameters as filepath

if you an place a bespoke client on the client machine then, well, the answer is right there

Solution 1

You can't specify where the file is downloaded to. How are you going to know what paths are valid on the client machine anyway?

This is correct: No way to specify download location client side. This detail is handles by the browser only, as per [the] browser specs.
