Creating report in .net

I have created a report for printing bill of saled items. But while running other customers items are also shown. How can I set my report such a way that, it will display only a particular customers bill.

There could be two ways to filter -

1) Filter this data before you set to the datasource of the report. In this case, doing this filter in the sql query would be the best way.

2) If you are using Crystal reports, you could filter your data within the report.

1 would be the better and more efficient way.
