i Need to extract MRZ from passport in our project. what are the best ways to do that?

What I have tried:

I tried tesseract and tessnet,Microsoft computer vision api,Google cloud vision api. but results are not clear. Is there any other ways for passport Text recognition?

Solution 1

See here: Machine Readable Passport Zone[^] - it describes the format of the zone. The rest is a case of OCR to get the text, and a quick calculation on the check digit to confirm you read it correctly.
