Hi,

Good Day to all!

I need to run two different applications on the same network.
One application has the back end database in Oracle 10 G and the other one has SQL Server 2014
My question is that can we use a combine server machine for both applications ?
In that case i will have to install Oracle 10 G and SQL Server 2014 on the same server machine.
I just want to confirm about the any conflict between these two different database servers if they are running in the same server machine on the same operating system.
I know that both have different ports. Oracle has 1521 and SQL Server has 1433 port.

Can anyone guide me accordingly ?

Thanks!

What I have tried:

I did not try anything before accordingly.

Common sense suggests yes. Since common sense is not enough, let's see if someone tried it: Can Oracle and SQL Server exist on the same server? - Server Fault[^].
