objectdatasource and gridview

Hi,

i am using an object data source everything the select , insert and update commands etc are written in XSD file and it is working very well . Not i want to add search functionality to this grid view . so i tried converting the object datasource to a dataview and then applied the sorting expression and it works well in some cases , most of the times i get errors.

if there is any alternative way to accomplish this sorting within gridview kindly reply me.
