Want to understand if WMI classes can be accessed on windows 8.1 embedded OS, as it can be customized there are chances of not having it.

What I have tried:

Tried accessing Win32_EncryptedVolume class on win8.1 desktop, but methods are not getting executed.
Also on of the MSDN link it has refernce till Win7, but not clearly mentioned about win8 and later

1 solution

First, it's Win32_EncryptableVolume.

And, no, it's not supported on Embedded.

Sorry, it was a mistake for class name.
Thank you for sharing the information.
Is there any reference link which says?

Yeah, the documentation on the Win32_EncryptableVolume class at the bottom of the page. It lists the minimum O/S required to support it. Note, the absence of Embedded.

No, I can't. I don't know what's going to be required without a bunch of research I don't have to time for and I don't have an Embedded version of Windows anywhere.
