Is it possible to start a prgroam that has been installed in the local PC from a browser?

For exmaple, the mailto: command that invoke local Outlook or the Callto: command that invoke teh Skype program, how do I add this kind command so that my browser would recognize it?

So, how do I immplement inside the ASP a button when the user click, it will start the for example, excel or word or a ftp program?

Click into your site and can not find what I need. Can you please give me the exact link to the article rather than need to search through your site? If I need to register to see a solution then dont need to bother.
One way could be to do this through a batch file.

I have look the example you gave in the site mentioned and my setup appear to be as you mentioned:
If you do not have the ability to use WSH, you can use ASPExec or DynuExec.


However the two links you gave ASPExec and DynuExec can not be opened?

How do I enable the WSH?
