My psychology teacher gave my class an assignment to ask someone in my major field some questions and to write a paper. The only problem with this is that I do not know a single programmer or database designer. If anyone will answer these questions for me I would be very grateful!♥

1. How do you use Psychology in this career field?
2. Do you subscribe to any psychological theories?
3. What skills and abilities are important for success in this field?
4. What education and courses would you suggest?
5. How many people do they hire here per year?
6. Is this a growing career field?
7. How did you get your job here?
8. How can I get a job in this field?
9. What career advice can you suggest to me?

What I have tried:

I have not tried anything, because as stated above, I do not know anyone in a programming career.

This is not about a programming career. It's course/home work so it WILL have been covered in the course OR it's a test to exercise YOUR mind, not ours

It’s actually questions I have to ask someone in a programming career as stated above. I am not allowed to answer these questions myself, plus even if I was, I am not in a programming career.

The question suggests either a very sophisticated course or a very trivial one. If the former I don't think there would be any need for this post.

It’s for my psychology class, and I have to ask someone in my major field these questions.

My understanding of "ask someone" does not mean post the questions on the Internet. Logic would dictate that you need to find "someone" and a question asking how you might do that would have been better received. The future beckons.

We do not do your homework: it is set for a reason. It is there so that you think about what you have been told, and try to understand it. It is also there so that your tutor can identify areas where you are weak, and focus more attention on remedial action.

Try it yourself, you may find it is not as difficult as you think!

If you meet a specific problem, then please ask about that and we will do our best to help. But we aren't going to do it all for you!

Like I stated above, these are questions I have to ask someone in a programming career, this is not something I can do myself. I posted the questions on here because I was sure there was a multitude of people in a programming career on this website. I am not in a programming career nor would I be allowed to use my own answers if I was. The assignment is literally to have someone answer these questions for me.
1. I don't use psychology.
2. No.
3. Using your own initiative.
4. Education for what?
5. Who is "they"?
6. Yes and no (and that is a serious answer)
7. I don't have a job.
8. By study and practice.
9. Learn to do your own work.

This is my own work, my assignment is to ask someone in my major field these specific questions. Thanks for the sarcasm though🤷‍♀️

It wasn't sarcasm, it was a few useful suggestions. Instead of just dumping your assignment here and expecting someone to do it all for you, you should go out and find a few people to do your survey. No doubt there are people doing programming courses at the same college you attend.

They’re not questions for people attending college. They are questions for people that have a job in programming

See my update.
