New in dotnet technologies after having a break

I have worked for 6 yrs in Dotnet Technologies and have the same yrs of break after maternity.
Now i wish to start my career.But i dont know where to start from,as the Technologies have been more imporved and growing.
I need suggestion on what technologies can be learnt now.That is somewhat related to Dotnet.
Guidance required.

I Have just installed VS2015 and MSserver2014.But dont know whether i am going in the correct directcion for re-entering into IT Field.I Heard about cloud.

Solution 1

If you already have experience in .NET then use that to rebuild your skill set. There are many articles here on CodeProject, MSDN and elsewhere that will help you. You could also take a look at the recently published books on the subject to learn some of the newer features. Much depends on your interests and which area(s) you would like to work in.

VS2015 has also been superseded by VS2017, which is probably a better choice.
