Is there any handwriting recognition apis in android which can be directly used in my app ?

I want to recognise handwritten text using stylus on the screen. The text content is to be used in my App. Want to know if there are any APIs which I can directly use in my App to recognise handwriting with stylus.

What I have tried:

Have tried Google Handwriting Input App. But that is a separate App in itself. Could not find the corresponding API in a usable form to be put in my App.
