ddd domain layer

Hi,

I have debate with one of my colleagues in ddd, According to standard definitions and in many book, in infrastructure layer apart from entities and value objects, there should be abstract repository per aggregate and their, but my colleague is saying that no abstract repository should also go in infrastructure.
