Is it me or everyone in this is feeling the same? I know StreamInSight is a relative new product with no foothold in the big-boys market i.e. Tibco, K2 etc. But given the limited tool set is it worth considering?

The reason I am asking is; I did a real-life POC in our Gaming Environment and feel that it is just too much of coding to achieve any relative ROI.

To start with, it does not come with any kind of monitoring or stream/feed generation technology (I know this is a CEP). So, I am left to either hook on to a known feed (which does not exisits in my industry) or write seperate code to create feeds (remember I come from Gaming / Casino not finance). Also I feel that the overall mechanism i.e. InputAdaptor / InputConfig / InputFactory, TypedEvent and the same on the output side is just too much of a leg work and not to mention create/maintain application(s) within the instance.

Can someone please help me to understanding the real value of this (StreamInSight), please don't give me code samples of YahooFinance, if you are interested I can share my code samples to monitor Patron (Player) movement on the casino floor using Touch-Points.

Regards
Adhish
