Hi,

I would like to make something like this http://www.codeproject.com/KB/graphics/TimeLine/timeline11.gif
only for music. What's the best way to make a panel like that. Is it better to start from scratch or to use the existing one.

Solution 1

If the one already existing is nicely written, reuse and customize provided it suites your needs. Otherwise, write from scratch.

Update after OP comment: I have not seen the article. If it suites your need and there are no licensing problems, you can use it. Speaking with the article author will help more.

If I'm writing it from scratch should I use a panel, or something else.

Better use the existing one because it 's nicely written & also you may need long time if you want develop this thing from scratch. Also listen to the license of that article. You must need to give credits to the author.

If you have any doubt contact the author of that article.
