optical mark recognition

hello everyone;
I am planning to develop a windows application on optical mark recognition. I googled but still not found a good source. All I found are around $1k libraries. By any chance have anyone encountered a source on OMR around the net?

I have found some free OCR libraries, but how could an OCR library be used for OMR?

Goof OCR codes are generally very hard to find as this sector if industry is in hard competition. There are excellent C# works on CodeProject, to best of my knowledge, all incomplete.

There are several available from what I've seen. I have no experience using any of them, but use the following search terms in Google:
C# omr open source sdk

and you will get several options (not necessarily C#, though).
