What is the diff b/w initial catalog and database in .NET connectionstring ?
Although I gave it a thought but did nt get the answer on google as well. Please help or direct me on some link.

This is a great article here on code project that should clear it up for you.
By the way. I don't believe for a second that you actually tried google.
That is how I found the CP article linked to above. I used the search term "difference between initial catalog and database" and got 183,000 results.
