Video Subsequence identifcation

Hello friends!

I have selected "Efficient Video subsequence identification" as my final year project. It is used for comparing two videos and telling whether they are the same or not in whatever way the frames are arranged. I don't know how to get started with video processing and I tried some of the code I found on the net which also results in error. If anyone knows how to do this or has some source code examples please give me some references. I'm using java as a platform.
