Why use AJAX Toolkit

Dear sir,

I have question to you on why to use AJAX toolkit? Is it only to enhance productivity and fast access application?
please mention breif and special benefits of AJAX toolkit.
Also, which version is best of .NET platform?

Yes, for ease. They are set of controls provided to us to use directly in our application for better user experience.

For different .NET framework, you have different toolkit version supported.
Like, Toolkit version 3.0.30930 is only for users who are building on top of .NET Framework 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008. If you are using .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 then you should use the earlier Toolkit version 1.0.20229.
