Canvas with Grid and snap to functionality

Hello all,
i'm new with WPF and look for an example how to adorn a canvas with grid lines and the possibility to snap an object to that grid if it is dragged on that grid. Is there a example from that i can learn?

Thank you very mutch for an advice.
