sql server converting nvarchar to datetime datatype

Hello,

when i am updating table whose source field datatype is nvarchar and target field datatype is datetime then its give error

Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime.
The statement has been terminated.

Please resolve this issue.

Error is self explanatory, your string might not be in proper data format or might be having incorrect value.
Its difficult to tell about it without looking at code, please provide some code snippet.
