Speed up Microsoft ReportViewer and Report (.rdlc)

Hi All,

I am using Microsoft Reports for reporting. I feel its working very slow. However, Neither Data is in huge amount nor I am using join with multi tables.

It takes 2.70 secs to normal view and 9 secs for print preview.

if I print the report It shows Not Responding message for long.

Please give any trick to speed up these things.

Well, in case it's not the query data or the report UI designed that is too much to be rendered then please check the same on other system.

In general, it would not take this much of time. One can suggest few ways to improve performance once the 'bottle neck' is known.

Further, I would suggest you to use latest Report Viewer for the report server you are using. Higher the version, better the performance would be.
