Does this process create a new set of system datatbases and tables or a copy of existing system databases and tables?
Thanks in advance

Hey Mr. Bill

Installing a new instance of SQL Server, installs a complete new SQL Server on your machine, which runs in a seperate process. Other instances of SQL Server are not affected.

Comment from OP:
I'll take that as the equivalent of standing up a new SQL Server with new system databases and tables and not a copy.
Thanks
