Hey Hi Mika for the immediate reply, but im not allowed to use the Codeplex ready made project in my code.
Could you suggest some other solution for the same.

Hi,

First, instead of adding a new solution, you can comment on existing ones. This way the person who wrote the solution gets notified by an email. It was a lucky coincidence that I checked this again :)

To the topic. Having a quick look at the CodePlex project, it seems to include the source. So could you use that source and modify it to your needs?

SharePoint Column Permission will allow you to assign read-only/edit permissions for individual columns within a SharePoint list view, or hide the columns entirely.
