Merge replication (synchronize) guideline or example

Hi,

I want to replicate Appointments between Outlook and my custom application. Can you point me to some pattern or algorithm for merge (2-way) replication? Now I have a working Push replication, but I need help for 2-way and especially dealing with deleted items.
