connect smard device with sql server database

hi every body
i want to ask about how to connect smart device with sql server database in vb.net2008
becuase i try alot and it does not work

also, how can i save the change in database like insert new record
when i insert new record it write OK "sucess" but when i check the database i dont find the new record

pleas help me

You haven't mentioned what this "device" is so it's pretty much impossible to answer your question.

I found the solution and i want to share it with you
to connect smart device with sql server . the sql server must be sql server authentication
not windows authentication and sa user must be enable
