I have a full version of VS 2005 and I've installed VS 2010 Express on my computer (running Windows 7). is it possible to run both side by side, without any conflict? Has anyone else here tried? Let me know.

It should be completely within the realms of possibility to run both simultaneously, 2005 targets Framework 2.0 while 2010 targets Framework 4.0.

Comment frm OP:
I know with the new Framework(s) the GAC should allow for 2005 and 2010 to work simultaneously, but are there any "gottchas" that I need to look out for in terms of the order they're installed?

Should be no problems, this answer is correct. My 5.

Yes I had all three (VS2008 inclusive) at one time.
I did not face any issues at all running all three together - ran short of space on the hard drive after some time though.

Make sure you choose the right runtimes when you use VS 2010.
