How to use 2 webcams on one pc ?

How to connect 2 webcams to mij PC ??

I want to use them for determine distance of a moving object.

But having problems to find the second webcam (USB) at the same time.

I need 1 picture from Cam1 and 1 from cam2 every second.

Who can help me.
