Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to accomplish an adRotator that would look like IBM's site? http://www.ibm.com/us/en/

Their banner rotates very smoothly having 2 images (transparent foreground and background images). Also, both images moves at different rate.

I've tried to create a banner using .Net adRotator and the closest I've came is display here.

Please let me know if there a convenient way to accomplish the same effect as seen on IBM's page.

Thanks
Loc

Do you currently pre load the images?

Would using silverlight be any good?

Thanks Rob for the suggestion.

Yes, my banner images are pre-loaded (not stored in the DB).

I've never touched Silverlight but will definitely consider. So why silverlight? Does it provide an easy way to create an interactive and attractive or flashy ads/banner? I read briefly about Silverlight and seems like it also requires the user to install a plug-in. One thing I tried to steer away is requiring my user to install a third-party tool or plugin in order to view my site properly.

I'll look into Silverlight. I hope asp.net has a way to implement it.
