i need the advantages and uses of owner drawn button

The obvious advantage is that you can make it appear (if you're able to do so) whatever you like.
As about the uses, if you need, for instance, an oval button and the system doesn't provide it, then you have to create an owner drawn button.

Advantages:
- Make a button look exactly the way you want (any color, shape, and include any bitmaps).
- Make your own buttons in a case where your framework doesn't have what you want or need.

Disadvantage:
- You have to draw out the button completely yourself, this includes any transition states and/or enabling/disabling the button.
