Solution 1

You need the tools for office to do that, then you can just read the docs. Or you can try to create XML that's compatible with the newer file format. Those are just XML in a zip.

If you don't want to use XML as proposed by Christian and Ramalings, try the older way i.e using StreamWriter. Refer Convert DataTable to Excel[^]
