I have converted your links into actual links, but it would be much easier for us all if you instead posted relevant code samples instead - if we can cut and paste them, we can compile and examine them if we need to.

Solution 1

You should link with the pthread (POSIX threads) library. The gcc command line option is -lpthread, check out your IDE documentation for the appropriate setting.
