Windows Mobile .Net 3.5

Good day!

I am currently working with the thesis of my girlfriend (4thyr college).
We are developing an "Explorer" application in Windows Mobile, using Visual Studio .Net 2008 - > Mobile Device.
But honestly we don't have any idea where to start and how to start.
I can create a simple explorer in VB .net, but I have found that it is not as easy to do the same thing in mobile.
I just wonder how to make a "Drive list" in windows mobile, where drives represents the phone memory and other external memory card.
Do you have any source code about it? or tutorial especially when it comes to file management in windows mobile.
