Hi all,
I am new to programming I want to know what is needed to integrate H/W with application ..or to write code to make h/w working with application ..in lay man language please give me answer .
I want to deisng a login form of my application(window application)in wahich i want that user will provide finger print to log on..
so i want to know how to integrate finger print reader with my window application i ant to no what are the basics for doing this and make my application working.i have rear two articles on codeproject.com but this article did not clear my basics.
so i want knw the basics to integrate this hardware with application so please guide me...

It depends upon hardware you use some hardwares(like barcode reader) requires no code,they are just Plug and Play,while other requires some coding

Not in laymans terms, or technical ones.

Why not?
Because we have no idea what you are trying to do.

There are so many different ways that hardware can be connected to "application" that any code we could possibly offer would be misleading, or wrong, or just pain not working at all.

You need to be a lot more specific about what you are trying to achieve. What kind of hardware? How does it interface? What kind of data does it need? What kind of data does it provide? Is it programmed? Is it standard, or custom? What kind of application is it? Do you have the source code? etc., etc.,

Use the "Improve question" widget to edit your question and provide better information.
