Visual Studio 2010 Express Build Error

I am getting this strange build error:

1>C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Platforms\Win32\Microsoft.Cpp.Win32.Targets(268,5): error : Required file "" is missing.

Any idea how to fix this problem?

Solution 1

With the MS C++ compiler, a clean and rebuild all is always a good start. Then I would create a new project and add my files to it one at a time, as much as possible, and see when it stopped working, if at all.
