How to block user to go back..?

I wanted to disable a functionality of back button...

Means once the user will go to next page then it will not come to previous page even if it will click on the back button of any browser.. i wanted that will be done using java script...?

this will be for all browser like IE (7,8,9) and Firefox (3,4,5,6)
