Hello every one

I am a microsoft lover SE
one of my friends once asked me " hey Asp is there any thing in ASP.net equvalent to this php function ..... " PHP_exec() " ???? , will i didnt know what to tell him .
so plz guys answer this question 4 me . i did some search but i didnt find any thing !

This is System.Diagnostics.Process.Start. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.diagnostics.process.aspx[^].

I hope you understand that you would execute some process on server side. It rarely makes sense, so be careful. Probably you would have more luck embedding functionality of what you want to run as a separate process. I totally depends on what you want to achieve though. You did not share this information. I would advice you to explain your ultimate goals when asking questions.

thnxx 4 ur answer . look here is the deal we are making sthn similar to an onlone IDE ( integrated development Environment ) and we are using GCW compiler to compile and execute a code entered by the user of the web site . so GCC takes the code . compiles it and give the result of the written code .
