how to know the portal performance

Hi,
I thought My portal is slow.
How to know speed of my portal and if it slow how to increase the speed of the portal.

For This Does i need to visit the log file.
To achieve this any separate tool is available.

Can any one help me.

Solution 1

Slow is a very imprecise term. How do you know the site is slow? What are you comparing it to? How do you know how fast it should be?
