How to backup directory using crontab in linux

Hi all visitors
i am the new of fedora core 5.
I have problem with backup directory.
i have directory at :/home/data.this directory store all about my company information.
now my boss wants me to backup this directory to root directory.the backup must compress with bzip2 and it automatically backup at 10:00pm everyday.
How can i backup my directory by using crontab?
