what is the format of query string with respect to varbycustom

varbycustom contain string which is send to argument in GetVaryByCustomString() function

so my question is: how can i find parameters in url with varbycustom property( say VaryByCustom="browser")

my url is suppose :http://localhost:1221/DMSamples/cache/basiccache1.aspx?ID=10&browser=100

is my browser parameter in url is same as browser property in VaryByCustom property

please explain
