How to create web application in Share Point 2010?

I need to create a web application in Share Point 2010. For that I am a member of the Farm Administrator group. but when i click the manage web application, the new is disabled. So icant create web application.
pls help if anyone know the reason

Solution 1

Make sure you are opening IE as administrator, as in, use Run as Administrator to start it
