Open an .exe from server and show on client side in asp.net web app

hi all,

I was just wondering whether this is possible so it becomes easy for me to solve my problem to Open an .exe or some microsoft inbuilt tools which comes with windows from server and show on client side so they can directly edit some data on server in asp.net web app.

tried activex but no luck.
