Display Pop-up alert or messagebox on parameter validation in SSRS 2008 reports

Hi,

I am working on SSRS 2008 reports. I want to stop report processing by displaying an Alert Message or MessageBox if parameter validation fails. I don't want to use .NET ReportViewer control. I tried implementing an Alert functionality using both Javscript-alert and MsgBox() and adding system.Web reference in the custom code but it never works.

Please advice.
