How to read / Retrieve email using vb.net 2005

Can we read / retrieve email from our email account and load it to datagridview or something else in vb.net 2005 ?
i've already do some search but it's hardly to find the free component and how to use it..
Is that must using a component? If that so, what is it ( i need a free component )?
Please anyone, help me...

i think using pop3,imap you can retrieve emails from email account like gmail
