Problem related to attaching .mdf to sql 2005 express database

Hi All,

just i format my system and install windows 7 OS then after that install sql server 2005 express.
the problem is that when a try to attached the .mdf(i.e database file) file to our database it's throwing error..

An error occurred when attaching the database(s). Click the hyperlink in the Message column for details.

i did all the think re-install the sql server 2005 and try to attach different database it gives me same error. i don't know what exactly the problem is with my database if anybody have knowledege about it provide me a solution.
