Unable to pass image file from view to controller

Hi ,
I want to pass the browsed image file from view to controller
And from controller it has to load into the database.Am using ajax functionality in my view with .load method for loading the content of the img file and passing it to the controller,but when i am performing button click event control is not getting redirected to the controller for passing the img content
Could any one please help me out in this
I am using asp.net mvc3,razor view
