Solution 2

If you mean you want to print a PDF "silently" (i.e. without opening a window), SumatraPDF[^] can do it. Adobe does not have the option to do that (you can have it close the window after it prints, but it will always leave the last window open).

If you don't use the Adobe Reader, you need to buy another PDF reader component to use.
