You do realize that it is trivial to spoof a mac address?

Google: Spoof a MAC address[^] will give you over half a million ways to do it...

(If it was that simple and infallible, do you think Microsoft, and Adobe would spend the fortunes they do to use other forms of protection?)

Notion : you write the program and u need to authorize users over internet and your program may be use in network so you can't keep and register all HDD serial or other serial numbers for users to authorize they .
in this solution you can keep MAC address of GateWay of Networks in database over internet and authorize users with this .
Attention : your program's operators don't know what is your solution for security software key ! just you know the authorization do with MAC Address !!!
