urgent: unable to open MFC Application in another pc

Greetings to u !!!
This would have been very familiar question but still after many attempts to figure d exact solution, i had to post this question

Currently wrkng in VC++ and have my mfc appl(sockket prog)(release mode) which is working fine in my pc and when i copy the exe of this and try to open in another laptop(where visual studio 2012 is already installed) , i am not able to open the exe
I dont get any error msg but on clicking the exe, the appln just doesnt start
What cud b the reason and how to solve it

Applications do not require Visual Studio! This is something else -- could be too many reasons, and you did not provide any relevant information.

Since you have visual studio on the other machine it should be simple matter to try running it in the debugger to find out what is going wrong.

Thanks for the reply.
one general queston. I have developed the MFC application in VC++ and i want this exe to run in any PC. So i want to clarify that is it mandatory that I need to install Visual Studio in all the pcs i run?
SA had replied that applications do not require VS and today my exe worked in one laptop which never had VS installed but failed in another pc.
any dll missing or any dependancies required?
