Hi,

I have one Stored procedure that returns one column with number of rows. All this rows should be written in the Raw file(not text file). When i use Raw File Destination in SSIS package for storing data in file, it is not writing each line on new line. it append some junk character(this may be new line character character ASCII value).

How can i write each table row in new line inside Raw file.

Hope for someone's help.

Thanks
-Amit

Can you be more clear? Are you saying you don't want SSIS to write a new line character?

I have added SSIS as tag so thats fine. anywhere code will be fine. just want to separate each line in Raw file with new line.

I'm confused. You say you do want a new line? But you also said SSIS was writing the new line ascii character. So, what is the problem?

When in open Raw file in notepad it is showing me junk character. but i want each database row in new line when i open it in notepad.

What are the properties on your destination file? For example, do you have a RowDelimiter or a HeaderRowDelimimter set?

Let me check and get back to you.

Amit,

Rows are created based on the delimiter u specify in the flat file connection.
In your Flat File connection manager set the row delimiter property to {CR}{LF}
